Smart Bimax Robot Creations Students Of Bina Nusantara

The Legit News.JAKARTA- Three students of Universitas Bina Nusantara (Binus University) from the School of Computer Science provides achievements in the arena of robot Indonesia. They are intelligent humanoid robot able to present the first in the country that is able to recognize a human face and interact using Indonesian, sophisticated robot, they give the name of Bimax.
The three students Binus University that resulted in the creation of this robot is Lazuardi Kuwandy (22 years), Oey Kevin Wijaya (22 years), and Christian Tarunajaya (22 years old) accompanied by Dr Widodo Budiharto as a tutor, the three students managed to design a robot that can recognize face and human speech in the Indonesian language. The robot can even respond to the words in Indonesian.
"In addition to recognizing human speech in the Indonesian language, this robot can also respond in Indonesian," said Widodo, Saturday (03/05/2016).
Reinhard, one of three students of the robot designer, said the reason he and his friends to design this robot because he hopes that robot design can help a lot of human work which has been the human limits.
"Humans have a limit effort in doing something, while the robot is designed to help with the work that humans can not be done," he said.
In interacting with Indonesian, known to this Bimax embedded technology from Google, the voice recognition, voice recognition technology overview hear the sound of Bimax will be similar to the existing voice feature in Google Translate.
Regarding jeroannya, Bimax consists of two systems, namely the raspberry pi systemdan robot system. Robot system is useful for the movement of the motor system, while the raspberry pi system serves as the robot controller.
For how it works, first Bimax-first detects the user's face and then a process of facial recognition training. Afterwards, raspberry pi system will send a signal to control the robot to move the robot motors.
Currently, the sophisticated robot able to interact with humans, such as story-telling, greeting and playing music. For example, the robot can be a friend of teachers in schools in providing education to the students.
"Because of its ability to store a lot of data or information and are able to explain the data and the information to the user who asked," said Reinhard.
In the development of Bimax, three students this BINUS a grant from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti).
"The development of humanoid robots we can grant the National Innovation System Research and Technology Incentives from governments around Rp100 million. To make this robot alone, we spend Rp55 million for the device alone, not including the software, "said Widodo.
For now, the new Bimax 'polished' early stages and has not been operating perfectly well. Therefore, this humanoid robot will be continued and further developed by other Binus students, in order to enhance and commercialized in the next three years.
